Wow! I don't know better word to describe it! Tonight's sunset was truly amazing, the kind that you remember for a long time. There was a great bank of clouds towards the east so I pointed the camera up river, and as the sun got lower and lower, the color in the clouds got more intense. The light was bouncing off of those clouds, on the ground, in the water, and all around, everything was glowing hot pink and blazing yellow.
It was one of those magic moments where you cannot only see the color, but you can feel the color vibrating through your body.
I had to do all I could to stop myself from screaming in joy. I shot another panorama, but I know when I stitch this one together people are going to think that I manufactured the color in Photoshop because it looks so unreal.
I'm glad I was there to witness this surreal, reality. I feel so blessed to have this so close. It makes me realize that just about anywhere you are, you can probably go out and find your own little slice of nature, and learn to take advantage of it, if only you took the time.
If you would like to see more of this, I’ve created a multimedia DVD called “My Stretch of the River”
